A340E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Coat a new O-ring with Toyota Genuine ATF Type T-IV or equivalent and install it onto the temperature sensor.

(b) Install the temperature sensor.

Torque : 29 Nm (300 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the temperature sensor connector.

2. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE





(a) Using union nut wrench, tighten oil cooler inlet tube No. 1.

Torque : 34 Nm (350 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the 3 clamps and 3 bolts.





Torque : 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 8.9 ft-lbf for bolt A)

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf for bolt B)

3. INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID Service and Repair
