C0274/14 - Short to B+ in ABS Motor Relay Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The ABS motor relay supplies power to the ABS pump motor. While the ABS is activated, the skid control ECU switches the motor relay ON and operates the ABS pump motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (ABS MOTOR RELAY)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Select the Active Test mode on the Techstream Data List / Active Test.
(e) Check the operating sound of the ABS motor relay when operating it with the Techstream.
ABS/VSC/TRAC
OK:
The operation sound of the ABS motor should be heard.
NG -- RECONFIRM DTC
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (+BM TERMINAL)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (+BM CIRCUIT)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (GND TERMINAL)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTC ABS (Antilock Brake System).
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Drive the vehicle at the speed of 10 km/h (6 mph) or more to activate initial check.
(d) Check if the same DTC is recorded ABS (Antilock Brake System).
