INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK IF PROPER DISC IS INSERTED

(a) Make sure that a supported DVD or CD is used, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, deteriorated or otherwise defective.

OK:

Normal DVD or CD

HINT
* Translucent or uniquely-shaped DVDs or CDs cannot be played.
* For details on supported CDs, refer to the Owner's Manual.

NG -- DISC IS FAULTY
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. REPLACE DISC

(a) Replace the disc with another and recheck.

(1) Replace the disc with a known good one.

(2) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(3) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.

NG -- REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY Removal
