2ZR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: KNOCK SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

2. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER Removal

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Disconnect the throttle body connector and the 2 water by-pass hoses.





(b) Separate the wire harness clamp and remove the bolt and wire harness bracket.





(c) Separate the 2 hoses.





(d) Separate the ventilation hose.





(e) Separate the 2 wire harness clamps.





(f) Separate the 2 wire harness clamps.





(g) Remove the 4 bolts and 2 nuts and remove the intake manifold stay and intake manifold with throttle body.





(h) Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.





5. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the knock sensor connector.





(b) Remove the bolt and remove the knock sensor.
