Installation





1AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ECM

(a) Install the 2 ECM brackets to the ECM with the 4 screws.





(b) Install the ECM with the ECM bracket with the bolt and 2 nuts.





Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

(c) Install the 2 wire harness clamps.

(d) Install the tire pressure warning ECU with the nut and connect the tire pressure warning ECU connector.





Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

(e) Connect the 6 ECM connectors.





2. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

3. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Installation

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:
* If the ECM is replaced, register the ECU communication ID for the immobiliser system Repair Instruction - Initialization.
* The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be input into the replacement ECM Repair Instruction - Initialization.

HINT
Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.
