POWER ASSIST SYSTEMS: POWER STEERING ECU (w/ Wireless Door Lock System): REMOVAL

1. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY

Removal

2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN UPPER WITH SWITCH BRACKET ASSEMBLY (w/o Smart Key System) Disassembly

3. REMOVE STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Smart Key System) Disassembly

4. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU PROTECTOR (for 2AR-FE) Disassembly

5. DISCONNECT ECU WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AR-FE)

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the power steering ECU assembly.





6. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for 2AR-FE) Disassembly

7. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU PROTECTOR (for 2GR-FE) Disassembly

8. DISCONNECT ECU WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FE)

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the power steering ECU assembly.





9. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FE) Disassembly

10. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FE)

(a) Disengage the 4 claws to remove the protector.





(b) Remove the 3 bolts.





(c) Remove the 2 bolts to remove the power steering ECU assembly from the power steering motor assembly.
