Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION: LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

HINT
* When using Techstream with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot: Connect Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.
* Refer to Techstream operator's manual for further details.

1. CHECK DTC

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the tester ON.

(d) Select the following menus: Body Electrical / Trouble Codes.

(e) Check for DTCs.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the tester ON.

(d) Select the following menus: Body Electrical / Trouble Codes.

(e) Erase the DTCs by pressing the YES button on the tester.
