Removal





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Service and Repair

2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

Removal

3. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE

(a) Remove the inverter cover Removal.

(b) Check the terminal voltage Removal.

(c) Install the inverter cover Removal.

4. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

6. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

7. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

8. REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, slide the green-colored lock of the connector [A] in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.

CAUTION:
Make sure to wear insulating gloves.

NOTICE:
Insulate the removed terminals and connector with insulating tape.

(b) Disconnect the connector [B].

(c) Remove the 3 bolts and compressor with motor assembly.
