DESCRIPTION

* The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) blinks the security indicator light when the immobiliser is set (the power switch is off).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Before replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), refer to Registration Engine Immobilizer System.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key / Active Test.

(e) Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

Smart Key (Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly))





OK:

The security indicator light illuminates.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (METER CIRCUIT PLATE - CERTIFICATION ECU)

OK -- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) Removal

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (METER CIRCUIT PLATE - CERTIFICATION ECU)

(a) Disconnect the L27 indicator light connector.

(b) Disconnect the L62 ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)

(a) Reconnect the L62 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) Removal

OK -- REPLACE METER CIRCUIT PLATE Removal
