Air Injection Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

3UR-FE EMISSION CONTROL: AIR SWITCHING VALVE: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT ELECTRIC AIR CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





HINT
*: Make sure that the air switching valve is at ambient temperature before measuring the resistance.

NOTICE:
When applying voltage, do not touch terminals 2, 3 and 4.

If the result is not as specified, replace the electric air control valve assembly.





(b) Check the operation of the electric air control valve assembly.





(1) Check that air does not flow from port A to port B.

NOTICE:
Make sure that the applied pressure is 30 kPa (0.3 kgf/cm2, 4.4 psi) or less

If the result is not as specified, replace the electric air control valve assembly.

(2) Apply battery voltage to the connector, and check the air switching valve operation.





NOTICE:
When applying voltage, do not touch terminals 2, 3 and 4.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the electric air control valve assembly.
