Installation





A340F AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Coat a new O-ring with Toyota Genuine ATF Type T-IV or equivalent and install it onto the temperature sensor.

(b) Install the temperature sensor.

Torque : 15 Nm (150 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the temperature sensor connector.

2. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE

(a) Provisionally install the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube.

(b) Provisionally install the No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.

(c) Install the 3 clamps and 3 bolts.





Bolt A - Torque : 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

Bolt B - Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

(d) Using a union nut wrench, tighten No. 1 the oil cooler inlet tube.





Torque : 34 Nm (347 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf)

Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service and Repair.
