Removal

1GR-FE EMISSION CONTROL: AIR SWITCHING VALVE (w/ Secondary Air Injection System): REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. REMOVE AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY

Removal

3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER Removal

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE





(a) Remove the 2 bolts.

(b) Unlock the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with No. 2 air cleaner hose.

5. DISCONNECT AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY





(a) Loosen the clip and disconnect the air tube assembly.

6. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, No. 1 air tube and 2 gaskets.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the installation surface of the gaskets.

7. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR TUBE

(a) Remove the bolts and 4 nuts, then disconnect the No. 2 air tube.

(b) Remove the 2 gaskets.

Be careful not to damage the installation surface of the gaskets.

8. REMOVE AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 air switching valve connectors.





(b) Disconnect the wire harness clamp.

(c) Remove the bolt and the wire harness bracket.









(d) Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and air switching valve assembly.
