POWER STEERING: POWER STEERING ECU (for 1UR-FE): REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal (from 08/2011)

4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH Removal (from 08/2011)

5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Removal (from 08/2011)

6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal (from 08/2011)

7. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY Removal (from 08/2011)

9. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the power steering ECU connector.

(b) Remove the nut and power steering ECU.
