INSTALLATION

FUEL TANK
1. Install the hangers.
2. Install the fuel tank on the hangers.

NOTE: The fuel tank has locating knobs on the lower side. Be sure to position the knobs in the boss (holes) on the front hanger and lock the fuel tank. Use a hoist (if available); otherwise use a helper to install the tank.

3. Install the hold downs. To do this, install the bolts on the frame side first. Then, tighten the nuts on the outer side of the vehicle.
4. Connect the two fuel hoses (suction and return) and install the clamps.
5. Connect the harness for the gauge unit.
6. Tighten the drain plug and pour approximately 124 liters (32-3/4 US gal) of fuel into the fuel tank.

Drain plug
T : 49 - 69 Nm {5 - 7 kgf-m, 36 - 51 ft-lbf}

CAUTION: Replace the drain plug packing if damaged.

FUEL TUBE AND HOSE
Install fuel tubes and hoses in their original positions.
