Throttle Full Open Switch: Adjustments

1. Connect test harness (VW 1501) Fig. 8, to the throttle switch connector, and the harness plug.
2. With the ignition switched ON, and the throttle plate fully opened, check voltage between terminal #3 and ground. Battery voltage should be present.
3. Close the throttle slightly then push the throttle lever back towards the full throttle stop and observe the switch ON point of the switch.
4. The gap between the full throttle stop and the throttle lever at the switch On point should be 0.7 - 1.2 mm (.027 - .047 in).
5. Adjust the switch ON point by loosening the attachment screws and moving the switch until the switching point is correct.
