Engine Control Module: Description and Operation

The Digifant II fuel system provides extra fuel to a cold engine to ensure cold starting and smooth cold running. The ECU receives input from the coolant temperature sensor on engine temperature. The control unit then adjusts injector opening time to allow for a richer mixture. To assist the warm-up the intake air preheat system warms the air entering the engine during operating conditions of cold operating temperatures.
