Parking Brake System: Adjustments

NOTE: Rear brakes must be properly adjusted prior to adjusting parking brake.

1. Release parking brake, then tighten adjusting nut until there is no noticeable play at brake components. Check by pulling slightly on brake cable housings.
2. Apply and release parking brake several times, then check adjustment as follows:
a. Rear wheels cannot be turned by hand when hand brake lever is pulled 2-4 notches.
b. Rear wheels must rotate freely when parking brake is released.
