Power Window Motor Replacement

Before deciding to replace the motor, check the mechanical part of the window regulator to make sure it operates properly, and check the switches and wiring to make sure that they are not the source of the problem.









For access to the power window motor, first remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Service and Repair
Remove the motor from the window regulator as shown in figures above.

Caution:
Work on a clean surface. Do not let dirt or dust enter the motor assembly
Lubricate the motor assembly using grease, Volkswagen Part No. G 00045002 or equivalent.
