Checking resistance of ATF temperature sensor

The resistance measurement specifications used when checking ATF temperature appear in various form in the microfiche repair manuals, paper repair manuals and in the binder "Troubleshooting Using VAG Diagnostic Testers".
The following chart is provided to ensure consistency between all models and to correct any errors that may exist in the specifications as shown in the repair and troubleshooting manuals..
Use the chart whenever checking ATF temperature on an AG4 transmission (096, 098) using VAG 1598 and a multimeter (Fluke 83 [US 1119] or equivalent).
Note
Adjust the resistance range of the multimeter for best reading.
