Glow Plug: Service and Repair

Glow Plugs Removing and Installing

Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 ft lb)

NOTE:
The 25 Nm (18 ft lb) tightening torque must not be exceeded, or the gap between the glow plug electrode and the threaded section will be squeezed together. This may cause the glow plugs to tail prematurely.

If no malfunction is found and the engine is still hard to start, the glow plugs should be examined while glowing (with the Fuel Injectors removed).
