Exhaust Gas Recirculation: Service and Repair



EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) SYSTEM, OVERVIEW:

NOTES:

^ Activation of the EGR system is under the control of the Engine Control Module (ECM) via EGR valve N18.

^ The function/control of the EGR system is checked by the ECM On Board Diagnostic II system.

^ When working on the system always replace seals and gaskets.

^ Vacuum hoses and hose connections must be free of leaks.

^ Vacuum hoses must not be blocked or kinked.
