Read Measuring Value Block Procedure

Special Tools, Testers And Auxiliary Items:
- VAG 1551/1552 Scan Tool with cable VAG 1551/3

Test Conditions:
- Coolant Temperature must be 80°C (176°F) minimum
- All electrical consumers switched OFF
e.g. rear window defroster
- A/C must be switched OFF (if installed)
- Vehicles with automatic transmission: place selector lever in P or N range
- There must not be any DTCs stored in DTC memory

Test Procedure:
- Connect VAG 1551/1552 Scan Tool
- Start engine and let idle
- Press 0 and 1 buttons to select address word 01 "engine electronics"
Display will appear as shown:

Select function XX

- Press 0 and 8 buttons to select Function 08 "Read measuring value block"
- Press Q button to enter input
Display will appear as shown:

Input display group number XXX

NOTE: Display group 001 is an example illustrating the sequence.

- Press 0, 0 and 1 buttons to select "Display group 1"
- Press Q button to enter input
Display will appear as shown (1 to 4 Display zones):

1 2 3 4

- Press -> button
Display will appear as shown:

- Press 0 and 6 buttons to select Function 06 "End data output"
- Press Q button to enter input
