Air Injection Control Valve: Testing and Inspection


Special Tools, Testers And Auxiliary Items
- US 8012 Hand vacuum pump (illustration shows V.A.G 1390)

Checking Conditions
- Vacuum pipes and hose connections free of leaks
- Vacuum lines not blocked/kinked
- Remove sound dampening tray
- Disconnect vacuum hose from combi-valve from Secondary Air Injection solenoid valve N112





- Connect US 8012 hand vacuum pump to combi-valve vacuum hose -arrow-

NOTE: Do not use compressed air during the following check!





- Detach hose to combi valve at Air Cleaner upper section -arrow- and pressurize slightly by blowing into hose
combi-valve must be closed
- Operate hand vacuum pump
combi-valve must open
- If combi-valve does not open, replace combi-valve
