Function 08: Read Measuring Value Block, Initiating

Special tools
- Scan Tool VAG 1551/1552 using VAG 1551/3 adaptor cable

Test conditions
- Engine Coolant Temperature must be 80 °C minimum.
- ALL electrical consumers switched OFF.
- A/C switched OFF if installed.
- Transmission Range selector lever in P or N (auto trans.).
- NO malfunctions stored in DTC memory. Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes


Work sequence
- Connect Scan Tool VAG 1551/1552.
- Start engine and let idle.
- Press -0- and -1 - buttons to select Address word 01: "Engine electronics"

Display will appear as shown (example only)
