Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair



Camshaft Position Sensor Removing and Installing

Removing




- Pull 3-pin harness connector (Black) off Camshaft Position Sensor G40 -arrow-.

G40 Camshaft Position Sensor:




- Remove toothed belt guard, upper section.

Ignition System Components:




- Remove Camshaft Position Sensor bolts (17).
- Remove Camshaft Position Sensor (18).
(19) Mounting Bolt 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
(20) Conical Washer.
(21) Camshaft Position Sensor Hood (Hall Effect Trigger).
- Note installed position.

Installing

- Position Camshaft Position sensor.
- Install and tighten bolts (17) 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).
- Install upper toothed belt guard.
- Reconnect harness connector.
