Wheel alignment, preparations for checking





Special tools required

- Perform wheel run-out compensation.





- Insert brake pedal depressor.
- Center the steering as described in the wheel alignment computer instructions.
- Check that steering wheel is positioned as horizontally as possible on steering column when wheels are in "straight-ahead" position.
- Reposition steering wheel if necessary.

Use special tool VAG 1907 The center position of the steering rack can only be determined by using this tool!
