1. Bolt: tighten to 45 Nm
2. Engine bracket
3. Bolt: tighten to 5 Nm
- Secured at intake manifold
4. Dipstick
- Oil level must not exceed max. marking!
5. Guide tube
- for oil dipstick
- secured to intake manifold with a bolt
6. Cylinder block
7. Knock Sensor (KS) 1 -G61-
- Installation location: between cyl. 1 and cyl. 3
8. Bolt: tighten to 20 Nm
- Tightening torque affects function of Knock Sensor (KS)
9. Bolt: tighten10 Nm
10. Cover for oil pump drive
11. O-ring
- Always replace O ring
- Oil before installing
12. Oil pump drive
13. Oil check valve, 5 Nm
- Note installed position
- Clean if very dirty
14. Intermediate shaft.
15. Thrust washer
16. Bolt: tighten to 10 Nm
- insert with safeguard material "D6"
17. Knock Sensor (KS) 2 -G66
- Installation location: between cyl. 4 and cyl. 6
18. Input shaft
- For operating oil pump
19. Oil pump
- Coat oil pressure tube at cylinder block and oil pump housing with sealant AMV 188 001 02
20. Bolt: tighten to 25 Nm
21. Oil drain plug: tighten to 30 Nm
- Replace if leaking. See Parts Supplier for correct application. In some cases, seal and drain plug are combined; do not interchange with separate seal and drain plug.
22. Oil pan
23. Bolt: tighten to 12 Nm
24. Oil filter housing
25. Engine Speed (RPM) sensor G28
26. Harmonic balancer
27. Bolt: tighten to 100 Nm + 1/4 turn (90 °)
- Always replace Harmonic balancer bolt
- Use T10069 retainer for loosening and tightening.
- tighten using VAG 1601 torque wrench
