Removal and Replacement



Airbag Control Module - J234 -, Removing And Installing







- Remove trim panel - 1 -.
- Remove footwell air vent housing - 2 -.

WARNING: Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap before disconnecting the airbag control module.







- Move bar - 1 - in opposite direction of arrow and disconnect connector - 2 - from control module - 3 -.
- Remove nuts - 4 - and remove control module from studs (nuts - 4 - are sealed with paint).

Tightening torque (nuts - 4 -): 10 Nm (7 ft lb)

Install in reverse order of removal.
