Ignition Lock: Service and Repair

Steering/Ignition Lock Housing, Removing And Installing From August 1998

Removing
- Removing steering column switches
- Disconnect electrical connection from steering lock housing.
- Drill out steering lock housing securing bolts.
- Screw hex nut for steering wheel onto steering column.
- Remove clamping washer.
- Pull lock housing from column tube and steering column.

Installing
- Slide lock housing onto steering column and bolt loosely together with new shear head bolt.
- Install clamping plate.
- Further installation in reverse order of removal.
