Rear Axle Toe

Centering
The total toe for the rear axle is not adjustable.
Only by moving the mounting bracket is it possible to adjust the individual toe evenly.
- Loosen all bolts on mounting brackets.
- Loosen brake pedal loading device.
- Center individual toe by moving mounting brackets in elongated holes.
- Tighten mounting bracket bolts.
Always use new bolts!
- Install brake pedal loading device from VAG 1869/2.
If, in spite of centering, the total toe lies outside the permitted tolerances, then the axle beam must be checked for damage and replaced if necessary.
The body alignment must be checked and measured in the area of the rear axle mounting points also and serviced as necessary.
