Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair


Speedometer Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) G22 and Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)-G68-, replacing
Additional information

Removing
- Remove left wheel.
- Remove left-hand drive axle protective plate.





- Pull connector -arrow A- off sensor.
- Press down sensor retaining catch and turn -arrow-.
- Pull out sensor.

Installing





Install in reverse order but note following:
- Replace O-rings -arrows-.
- Lubricate O-rings with gear oil before inserting.
- Insert sensor.
- Engage retaining catch on bearing bracket for flange shaft.
- Remove left wheel.
