Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair



Airbag Control Module J234, Removing And Installing

Removing

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions for working on airbags

- Switch ignition off.
- Open doors.
- Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap
- Remove center console.
- Remove tunnel support cover.







- Press retaining tab - 4 -, swing bracket - 5 - - arrow - and pull harness connector - 3 off control module - 1 -.
- Remove nuts - 2 - and pull control module from studs (nut - 2 - = 6 Nm).

Installing
- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION: Make sure no one is in the vehicle.

- Close doors.
- Connect battery ground (GND) strap
- Switch ignition on after installing all components.
