Connecting VAS 5056 Test Box




VAS 5056 Test Box

It is possible to check airbag system individual components with VAS 5056 to determine which component is inoperative. Measured Value Block. Measuring Value Blocks (Function 08)


NOTE: Observe safety measures when working on airbag.


Connecting test box to driver's airbag components
- Remove driver's airbag unit
- Remove lower steering column switch trim.







- Connect igniter connector to inert igniter -1- on terminal of VAS 5056.

3 - Connector for spiral spring/return spring with slip ring







Connecting tester to front passenger airbag components


NOTE: Measured Value Block. Measuring Value Blocks (Function 08)


- Remove glove box -3-.
- Disconnect airbag unit connector and connect yellow 2-pin connector -2- from VAS 5056 to airbag wiring harness.
