Ignition Lock Cable: Service and Repair

Removing and installing locking cable for ignition with key withdrawal lock

Only vehicles with automatic transmission
Adjust locking cable

Removing
- Remove steering wheel
- Remove trim for steering column switch





- Shift selector lever into position "P" if necessary.
- Turn ignition key - A - to "ignition on" position.
- Press wire clip -1 - up or down according to installation position and pull at the same ignition lock cable - 2 - out at the same time.

Installing





- Shift selector level into "P" position.
- Turn ignition key - A - to "ignition on" position.
- Push lock cable - 2 - into steering lock housing until wire clip -1 - engages.
