Cylinder Head

Pretighten all bolts to 40 Nm.
Then tighten all bolts 1/4 turn (90° ) using a rigid wrench.
Then tighten all bolts again another 1/4 turn (90° ).
Always Replace Bolts

Max permissible distortion: .01 mm (minimum distance between linear measurements: 100 mm)

Camshaft pulley bolt 100 Nm
Exhaust manifold bolt 35 Nm

Camshaft Bearing Caps
Tighten bearing caps 2 and 4 alternately and diagonally to 20 Nm.
Coat contact surfaces of bearing cap 1 lightly with sealing compound AMV 174 004 01.
Install bearing caps 3, 1 and 5 and also tighten to 20 Nm.

Upper intake manifold bolt 6 Nm
Lower intake manifold bolt 20 Nm
