Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair



Sensor, replacing, 01V, 5 SPD. A/T (AWD)

Removing
- Remove left wheel.

Vehicles with TDI engine





- Remove noise insulation for left drive axle from wheel housing - arrows -

Vehicles with V6- and V8-engine
- Remove shielding plate/drive axle on left side.

Continued for all vehicles





- Disconnect connector - arrow A - from sensor.
- Push retaining bracket of sensor downward, and turn - arrow - toward front, outside.
- Pull out sensor.

Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:





- Replace O-rings - arrows -.
- Insert new O-rings with axle oil.
- Install sensor.
- Engage retaining clip on flanged shaft mounting bracket.
- Install left wheel.
