Steering Lock Housing


Follow the procedure in the Repair Information when disconnecting and connecting the battery. Refer to => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment ] Disconnecting and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment or => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment ] Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment.

• To remove the steering lock housing, it is necessary to first remove the steering column switch base carrier.


• Steering lock may be destroyed.

• If steering lock is operated without lock cylinder, it locks and must be replaced.

• Steering lock must not be operated without lock cylinder.

Removal

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment ] Disconnecting and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment or => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment ] Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment.

- Remove the steering column switch base carrier. Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Base Plate ] Steering Column Switch Base Plate.
