Removal and Replacement






Throttle Valve Control Module

Removing

- Remove the engine cover/upper air filter housing. Refer to => [ Engine Cover/Upper Air Filter Housing ] Engine Cover/Upper Air Filter Housing.

GTI

- Remove the pipe - A - and hose - B - - arrows -.





Continuation for All

- Loosen the hose clamp - 1 -.





- Remove the bolt - 2 -.

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.

- Remove the bolt - 4 -, remove the charge air pipe from the charge air cooler and remove it downward.

- Remove four bolts for the throttle valve control module (J338) and remove it.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- If a new throttle valve control module was installed, adapt the Engine Control Module (ECM) to the throttle valve control module. Refer to "Guided Functions" in the vehicle diagnostic tester.
