Ignition, Assembly Overview







NOTE: Components marked with * are tested via On Board Diagnostic (OBD), Diagnostic mode 3: Check DTC memory.

1 - Knock Sensor (KS) 1 -G61-*
- Terminals are gold-plated 1 -
- 3-pin connector
- Location: Cylinder block on intake side, right
2 - Knock Sensor (KS) 2 -G66-*
- Terminals are gold-plated
- 3-pin connector
- Location: Cylinder block on intake side, left
- To remove, oil filter bracket must be removed:
3 - Ignition coil with power output stage (-N70-, -N127-, -N291-, -N292-)*
4 - Spark plug, 30 Nm
- Type and spark plug gap: test data, spark plugs
- Remove and install using 3122 B spark plug wrench
5 - 20 Nm
- Tightening torque affects function of Knock Sensor (KS)
6 - 10 Nm
7 - Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor -G40-*
- Terminals are gold-plated
- 3-pin connector
8 - O-ring
- Replace if damaged
