Refrigerant (PAG) Oil, Capacities

Refrigerant (PAG) Oil, Capacities

This quantity of refrigerant oil is in a replacement A/C compressor and equates to the total capacity.

Important information:
The refrigerant oil is very hygroscopic, therefore opened containers must be closed immediately after use to stop ingress of moisture.

Refrigerant oil, because of its chemical properties, must not be disposed of with engine oils or transmission oils.

Refrigerant oil distribution
Refrigerant oil is distributed through the refrigerant circuit, which is located in the sump of the compressor before initially switching the air conditioner system as follows:
- A/C compressor approx. 50%
- Condenser approx. 10%
- Suction hose approx. 10%
- Evaporator approx. 20%
- Fluid reservoir approx. 10%
