Double Check Valve, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hand vacuum pump (VAS 6213)

- Remove the engine cover/upper air filter housing. Refer to => [ Engine Cover/Upper Air Filter Housing ] Engine Cover/Upper Air Filter Housing.

- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve and low fuel pressure sensor - arrows -.





- Remove the EVAP canister purge regulator valve - B - from the hose - A -.

- Set the slide ring - 1 - on the (VAS 6213) to position - A - for "vacuum".





- Connect the (VAS 6213) to the hose for the double check valve - arrow -.





- Operate the (VAS 6213) several times, vacuum must build up.

No vacuum

- Replace the double check valve.
