Ignition Components Overview





1 Knock Sensor (KS) 1 (G61)

• Contacts are gold plated.

2 Bolt, 20 Nm

• Tightening specification affects the function of the KS.

3 Ignition Coil with Power Output Stage (N70), (N127), (N291), (N292)

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Ignition Coils with Power Output Stages ] Service and Repair.

4 Spark Plug, 25 Nm

• Type and electrode gap, refer to => [ Technical Data ] Technical Data.

• Remove and install using the spark plug removal tool (3122B).

5 Bolt, 10 Nm

6 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor (G40)

• Contacts are gold plated.

7 O-ring

• Replace if damaged.

8 Knock Sensor (KS) 2 (G66)

• Contacts are gold plated.
