Removal and Replacement



Throttle Valve Control Module

Removing

GTI
- Remove charge air guide leading to the noise generator.

All







- Loosen hose clamp - 2 -.
- Remove bolt - 4 -.
- Disconnect electrical connector - arrow -.
- Remove noise insulation.







- Remove air guide pipe - 1 and 2 -.







- Remove bolt - 1 - and remove air guide pipe downward.







- Disconnect electrical connector - 1 - on throttle valve control module.
- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove throttle valve control module.

Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- Clean O-ring sealing surface.
- Replace seal; when doing so, pay attention to the correct position of the service flag on the sealing ring.
- If a new throttle valve control module was installed, adapt the engine control module to the new module.
