Fastener Tightening Specifications





• 1 Always replace

• 2 Tighten the new bolts in a diagonal sequence and in multiple stages

Starter to transmission bolts.

Subframe to body bolts.

Mechatronic Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification





- Install the new bolts - 1 through 10 - and tighten by hand.

- Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown - 1 through 10 - to 5 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4 ) turn.

Transmission to Engine Bolt Tightening Specifications





M12 - 80 Nm

• If Insert tool 18 mm (T10179) is used: 65 Nm.

M10 - 40 Nm

2 - Arrows

• Points to alignment pins

• Do not grease

Transmission Mount and Bracket Bolt Tightening Specifications





- Install all new bolts by hand.

- Tighten the transmission mount bracket - A - to transmission bolts - 1 - to 40 Nm + an additional 90° turn.

- When tightening the transmission mount bolts - 2 -, the bracket - A - can be pried into the correct seating position with screwdriver. Tightening specification for the mount bolts - 2 -: 60 Nm + an additional 90° turn.
