Cooling System Components Assembly Overview, Body Side





1 Upper coolant hose

For coolant distribution housing on cylinder head

2 O-ring

Replace if damaged

3 Radiator

Removing and installing => [ Radiator ] Service and Repair

After replacing replace entire amount of coolant

4 Gasket

5 Cap

Check using cooling system tester (V.A.G 1274) and adapter (V.A.G 1274/9) => [ Pressure Relief Valve in Cap, Checking ] Cooling System, Checking For Leaks.

Pressure release valve must open at a pressure of 1.4 to 1.6 bar.

6 Connector

7 3 Nm

8 Expansion tank

Perform leak test of cooling system using cooling system tester (V.A.G 1274) and adapter (V.A.G 1274/8) => [ Cooling System, Checking for Leaks ] Cooling System, Checking For Leaks.

9 Bracket

For radiator

10 5 Nm

11 Spacer piece

For coolant line bracket

12 Support

Insert in lock carrier

13 5 Nm

14 Air shroud

15 5 Nm

16 Coolant Fan 2 (V177)

Removing and installing => [ Coolant Fans ] Coolant Fans

17 Connector

19 Coolant Fan (V7)

Removing and installing => [ Coolant Fans ] Coolant Fans

With Coolant Fan Control (FC) Control Module ( J293)

20 Lower coolant hose

From connection for coolant regulator

21 Retaining clip

22 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (on Radiator) (G83)

23 O-ring
