Bulkhead Assembly Overview

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench 5 to 50 Nm (V.A.G 1331)

Cartridge heater (V.A.G 1939)

Cartridge gun (V.A.G 1628)

Materials






* Materials are stored in box D 004 700.

* Heat according to manufacturer's instructions using cartridge heater (V.A.G 1939)

* Note that the minimum curing time is 2 hours, refer to => [ Minimum Curing Time for Bonded Windows ] Minimum Curing Time for Bonded Windows.

The bulkhead - 1 - is bolted and additionally reinforced with 1K window adhesive - 3 -.






1 Bulkhead

Removing:

- Using workshop tools, cut through bead of adhesive - 3 - after removing screws - 2 -.

2 Body flange

3 PUR adhesive sealant

1K window adhesive

Bead diameter: width = 8 mm, height = 10 mm

Minimum curing time: 2 hours

4 Bolt

Quantity: 10

Tightening specification: 25 Nm
