Halogen Headlamp, From 07.2005

• It is necessary to disconnect the Battery (A).

• The following illustrations depict removal and installation of left headlamp.

• If one headlamp is removed, it must always be adjusted after installation.

• Removing the right headlamp is shown in the illustrations.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Socket (SW 5)

CAUTION!
• Turn off the ignition and all electrical components.

• Remove the ignition key.

Removing

- Mount the (SW 5) on the locking lever - arrow -.





- Turn the (SW 5) - 1 - approximately 180° in direction of - arrow - to loosen the headlamp.





- Push down the locking spring - arrow - and remove the headlamp forward out of the bracket.





• The connector is permanently integrated inside the headlamp and bracket.

• Do not turn the locking lever when the headlamp is removed.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Insert the headlamp into the guides - arrows - and " carefully" push it all the way in.





- Turn the (SW 5) approximately 180° opposite the direction of arrow to lock the headlamp inside the bracket.

- Check headlamp for function.

- Check headlamp adjustment and adjust the headlamps.
