Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments






Multi-Function Transmission Range Switch, Adjusting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Headlight washer adjustment tool (T10173)

- Place selector lever in position "N".

- Do not kink selector lever cable.

Adjustment Prerequisites

• Selector lever cable is removed from lever/shift rod

• Shift rod is in position "N"

• Mounting bolts of Multi-Function Transmission Range (TR) Switch (F125) are loosened

• Lever/shift rod is removed

- Attach adjustment tool onto shift rod - 2 - and turn multi-function switch - 1 - until adjustment tool engages on tab of connector at multi-function switch.





- Fasten adjustment tool to shift rod - 2 - using bolt - 3 -.

- Tighten bolts - arrows - to 6 Nm.

- Remove adjustment tool.
