Engine Control Module: Service and Repair






Powertrain Control Module

Removing






- Disconnect the negative battery cable.

- Remove the left front wheelhouse liner.

- Disconnect the electrical connectors (2) from the powertrain control module (3).

- Remove the bolts (1) and PCM (3) from the bracket (4).

Installing






- Install the PCM (3) and bolts (1) to bracket (4). Tighten the bolts to 4.5 Nm (40 in lbs).

- Install the electrical connectors (2) to the PCM (3).

- Install the left front wheelhouse liner.

- Connect the negative battery cable.

- Using a scan tool, program all the necessary information into the PCM. Refer to => Non-DTC Based
Diagnostics.
