Removing







The normal operating temperature of the exhaust system is very high. Therefore, never work around or attempt to service any part of the exhaust system until it is cooled. Personal injury caused from burns can result from contact made to the exhaust system components.


When disconnecting sensor electrical connector, do not pull directly on the harness connector wires. Damage to the harness connector and/or wires may occur.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.

- Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the crankshaft position sensor (2).

- Remove the CKP sensor bolt (1).

- Remove the CKP sensor (2) from the transmission housing (4).

Installing






- Install the CKP sensor (2) to the transmission housing (4).

- Install the CKP sensor bolt (1). Tighten the bolt to 12 Nm (106 in lbs).

- Connect the wiring harness electrical connector (3) to the CKP sensor (2).

- Connect the negative battery cable.
